Prepare your site while we build your home
While Nestron builds your home in the factory, your local contractor prepares the foundation, utility connections, and site for delivery.
Foundation
A Nestron home is designed to sit on any level, firm surface, but most jurisdictions require a permitted foundation. The most common approach is concrete piers, which work well across a range of site conditions. A slab, perimeter wall, or other foundation type is also a valid choice depending on your site or preference.
Nestron provides the foundation specifications as part of the engineering review. Your local contractor builds to those specs. If you need help finding a qualified contractor in your area, your sales contact can help connect you.
Common foundation options
- Concrete piers
- Concrete slab
- Perimeter wall
- Other approved foundations
Foundation specifications are provided during the engineering review.

Utility connections
Every Nestron home arrives with connection points, piping, and the electrical panel pre-installed from the factory. Your local contractor makes the final connections on site: water, sewer, and electric.

Site preparation
Most sites are ready for a foundation without significant prep work. Where clearing, grading, or access improvements are needed, your contractor handles it. Nestron provides guidance on access requirements and site layout during the engineering review, and any constraints come up well before delivery day.
Because every project is different, your quote includes a detailed breakdown of each cost based on your location and site conditions.

Off-grid and solar options
A Nestron can run fully off-grid in areas with sufficient sunlight, independent of grid power and municipal utilities. Hybrid setups, where the unit ties into the grid but offsets with solar, are a common choice for buyers looking to reduce costs or their footprint.

What site work costs
Everything on this page is contracted locally: your foundation, utility connections, and any site prep. It’s priced at market rates by your contractor and the providers in your area, not by us.
We provide the specs and can help you find qualified contractors, but that work is billed to you directly at cost, with no Nestron markup.
